Estonia, Tallinn, August 20, 2011
The old city of Tallinn was founded on top of Toompea hill. As the city grew, it occupied the territories beneath the hill. Now tourists can admire the views of the lower city from several viewing points of Toompea hill. Here you can see the lower castle and the spire of St. Olaf's church (called Oleviste), which once was the tallest building in the world. The photo was taken early in the morning.
