Russia, Moscow Region, Kolomna, 2010-Feb-7

This photo was made 15 minutes after Kolomna: Kremlin at Dawn. The sun had already risen, but illumination on some buildings was still working. There is the small Kolomenka river near the kremlin (to the left in the photo). It was not covered with ice, so the rising sun caused slight fog. Hope you'll enjoy.

Canon 40D, Tamron 17-50, ISO 200, F/11, HDR pano from 3 sets of 2 horizontal shots (1/8 and 1/4 sec)

What HDR soft do you use? Photomatix or Nik's HDR Efex Pro?
Reply
:iconnightcitylights:
I do not use any HDR soft - I do it manually using layer masks :)

Erhm, I assume you do it using photoshop function, don't you?
Reply
:iconnightcitylights:
Yep. Just put one layer above the other, Layer->Layer Mask->Hide All, and using a brush and eraser reveal all necessary places :)

Are you kidding? Such approach generates halos and other artificial artifacts.

I use this approach since september 2009 - you can see it in my gallery :)
To avoid halos I use eraser.
